New York Jets
The Sexton Company functioned as part of a high-level team assembled in 2005 by the NFL’s NY Jets to help in the transformation of Hudson Yards, a brown-field on Manhattan’s Westside, into a $1.4Bn sports and convention center destination. The project, with strong support from Mayor Michael Bloomberg and then NY Governor George Pataki, was designed to encompass a new stadium for the 2012 Olympics and the Jets football team, the expansion of the Jacob Javits Convention Center, a new subway line, as well as retail and park space.
